2012

First full on Quilted Project - It might end up just patchwork though...

I have splurged and bought a load of fabric off cuts, and then got some more. I have decided to make a child's quilt for my cousins daughter for ready for Christmas (her birthday is in summer, and I felt that was cutting it fine). I have some nice not-too-girly fabrics and  I am now onto the fun part of planning the design - A simple lap quilt seems like the best idea, rather than the traditional sampler quilt.

As soon as the Cat gets off my legs, I will get some pictures taken of my completed projects for on here :)

Oh - in regard to the veg patch - it is 0 deg. C out there currently, and if you think I am going out in that.....

My First Blog

I figure that a little background information would be a good thing:

I am currently living with my Mother and Brother, in a lovely village on the IOW. This is wonderfully  practical and we all get along pretty well. We also have three cats who we absolutely adore and are spoilt rotten.

We moved from my childhood home in 2007 and while I am still recovering, this house has a smaller garden and is therefore more practical - even if I am slowly converting it to a giant vegetable patch. The house also has central heating - on a switch! The stove is totally optional :D

Crafting is a new thing for me, I took up crochet for a new years resolution in '08 and I am still working on some of the projects - they don't grow quite as fast as I would like. I also make simple beaded jewellery.
